The Science
We're not just repeating herbal folklore — here's some of the early clinical research behind spearmint tea and hormonal health.
Akdoğan et al. gave 21 women with hirsutism (12 of them with PCOS) spearmint tea twice a day for 5 days. Free testosterone dropped significantly, while LH, FSH and estradiol went up.
Read the study on PubMed →In a 30-day trial, Grant compared spearmint tea to a placebo in 42 women with PCOS. The spearmint group saw a significant drop in free and total testosterone, and reported feeling better about their hirsutism.
